There was tragedy earlier today when popular Sugar Puffs mascot Honey Monster suddenly snapped and attacked one of his trainers at his special facility / home in Dudley Zoo.
According to authorities, three trainers were outside the facility in a fenced-in area training the lovable monster. Suddenly, the normally jovial puffed wheat enthusiast lunged at one of the trainers and bit him on the neck. The trainer, 39-year-old Stephan Miller from Walsall, died at the scene.
A spokesman for Quaker Oats said the monster was a 5-year-old male named Rocky. He was the youngest son of the original Honey Monster, Rex, who died in 2006 of lung cancer, a sad result of his notorious 80-a-day cigarette habit.
Pepper spray was used to subdue the monster and there were no other injuries.
