First came The Three Tenors - Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras, who thrilled the world at the 1990 world cup and many more times afterwards.
Then came The Three Fivers, the 'hilarious' Christmas single by Bruce Forsyth, Jimmy Tarbuck and Kenny Lynch, who billed themselves as a "cheeky tribute" to the opera singers, but sadly failed to match the original trio's success, which was a surprise to some (Forsyth, Tarbuck and Lynch, mainly). The venture was such a failure that no image of it can be found on the entire internet; which surely isn't too much to ask for.
Now Opera diva Lesley Garrett wants to try again with her operatic trio, The Three Leslie/ys, comprising of herself, octogenarian Naked Gun star Leslie Nielsen and rough sex enthusiast TV presenter John Leslie. The trio are unique as they not only cross gender boundaries within their act, but also spelling, and even the first name / surname divide, something many other acts have tried and failed to do.
The trio will make their performing debut at the finals of the UEFA cup next year.
