Albert Square will be rocked this week when mysterious new bad boy Danny Blake rolls into town!

The handsome, brooding 21-year-old has dark hair and stubble, suggesting a devil-may-care attitude; he wears blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a leather jacket, with a battered hold-all slung casually over his right shoulder.

With a cheeky grin and an eye for the ladies, the cockney charmer soon has the ladies of the Queen Vic all a flutter!

But Danny actually hides a dark secret - he's on the run from Luton gangsters for pilfering some cash! But he remembers that his old Nana Pat lives in the square, so decides to look her up. But not before he ruffles a few feathers when he gets into a barney at the Vic!

Danny doesn't make the best start when he makes an enemy of Phil, by pissing on his bed! "It's just a genuine mix up", actor Matt Concello, 23, who plays Danny, told us.




"Danny's bursting for a slash because he's come a long way and he asks Phil where it is. Phil tells him it's round the back, so Danny accidentally thinks he means up the stairs at the back and into Phil's bedroom. Phil's spitting mad but Danny's a big bloke so the two have an angry, testosterone filled stare off."

Matt tells us he is so pleased to have landed the role. "Before this, I'd only ever been a patient in Holby City. I'm really excited to have joined my heroes and can't wait to get stuck into the role. Watch out Walford - Danny Blake AKA Matt Concello's here!"
