Bad Boys II actor Martin Lawrence has recently spoken of his joy at the increasing commercial and critical success of Batman movie blockbuster The Dark Knight, a film the black comic mistakenly believes he has starred in.
Speaking from his Los Angeles condominium, Lawrence said: "Since those ni**erz in marketing renamed my film as The Dark Knight, and gave it a new poster, it’s become a huge motherfuckin’ success. But I got to say - they made me so dark on the poster you can hardly tell it's me!."
"I haven’t seen any motherfuckin’ money yet, but I’m sure the check is in the post" said the Wild Hogs star. "I tell you, those ni**ers in marketing – they motherfuckin’ run Hollywood, man!"
No-one is sure how Lawrence came to his conclusions: while The Dark Knight is currently the second highest grossing film of all time, his Black Knight on the other hand was just a piss poor remake of fish-out-of-water comedy A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, featuring the star as a 21st century African American man accidentally sent back to King Arthur’s court.
Not only did the film induce suicide in many watchers, it was also an acknowledged commercial and critical failure.
The makers of The Dark Knight refused to comment, while Lawrence refused to shut up.
